The software

OpenRadView is licensed under the GNU General Public License, version 3 or later. You can use, study, change and share it under that license, including commercially. These terms do not add restrictions to it. The source is at github.com/gyorgysh/openradview. GPL distribution includes the corresponding source or a licence-compliant way to obtain it.

Intended use

OpenRadView is a viewer for personal education with medical images you own or have permission to use. It has not been clinically validated. Do not use it for diagnosis, screening, monitoring, treatment, emergencies or decisions about care. It does not replace a doctor, a radiologist or other qualified health professional.

Images, orientation, measurements and reconstructions can be incomplete or wrong. Ask a qualified clinician to interpret your scans. If you think you need urgent help, contact local emergency services.

AI agents

The app has no AI of its own and gives no opinion. You can connect an MCP-capable agent you already use, on your own account. Its replies are experimental AI commentary from that agent and its provider, can be wrong and do not replace professional interpretation. Provider terms apply to data you approve for sharing. An app permission dialog does not itself establish legal compliance or guarantee provider privacy.

Example scans

The included examples are public research data under their own Creative Commons licenses, credited on the home page. Reuse follows those licenses and the TCIA data usage policy. Do not try to identify or contact the people in them.

Liability

The app and this website are provided as is, and the warranty and liability terms of the GPL apply to the software. Liability exclusions apply only to the extent permitted by applicable law. Nothing here limits rights you have that cannot be waived under applicable law.
